Directory Assistance used to be free, or cost a dime.
As technology and competition have forced prices downwards
for most telecom services, Directory
Assistance costs have risen. Most major mobile phone
companies charge $1.25 for a call to national Directory Assistance,
and some landline phone companies charge even more.
At Easy411™ we offer the same service
you'll receive from your mobile phone carrier - at about half
the cost. We use operators (not voice-activated computers)
to listen to your inquiry and look up your number. That
way, if you're not sure about the exact spelling or location,
you can explain it to a real person. And this helps
to prevent the most irritating outcome of all - calling 411
and not getting the right number.
Signup is very easy, and takes about
90 seconds. Register your credit card and your mobile
phone numbers (and your home phones too, if you like).
You can call the Easy411™ service from any phone number
that you have registered by dialing 1-877-Easy411. When
you call the service from a registered number, we authenticate
you as a customer and pass your call on to the Directory Assistance
operator. There's no need to log in or provide your
user name or password - the system handles the call automatically.
When you register on the website, you'll be immediately activated
to use the Easy411™ service. We'll charge your
credit card each month for the calls you make, at $0.65 per
call.
On the Easy411 website, you can log into your account and
make changes. You can change your password, add or delete
phone numbers, and update your credit card and contact information.
You can also see how many calls you've made recently, and
you can view a summary of the invoices we've sent to your
credit card.
